We shot the campaign against an earthen backdrop close to the colour of clay, with a single light at 45 degrees — the shadow it draws gives black and white a depth flat lighting never does. We kept the frames where the fabric moves, not where it stands still; the two shots attached are from that session, and they became the site's opening images.

The jacket began with one question: where should the story live? We tried the Najdi pattern on the chest, then across the back — each time it spoke louder than we wanted. The decision that finally held: the outside stays a quiet line of heavyweight cotton, and the lining carries the full Najdi pattern — visible only when the zip opens. The story belongs to the one wearing the piece, not to everyone who sees it.
